The Default [DEF] modifier is only applied to a ladder if no other modifiers were added during generation.
- The [DEF] modifier has no intrinsic effects on the ladder.
- Prior to an update late in Season 2, all rounds started with a [DEF] ladder, regardless of what selection of round modifiers were rolled - even if those round modifiers would prevent [DEF] from being a viable choice.
- The [DEF] modifier is not removed when the catch-up mechanism applies the [FAUTO] modifier to the ladder, which is the only way the [DEF] modifier can appear alongside any other modifier.
