The Chaos [CHAOS] round modifier, as the name implies, makes the selection of ladder modifiers much more varied than other round types.
- The Round Base Point Requirement (RBPR) can select from the full range of possible values, from 25m to 187.5m
- The weights of the following modifiers are all made equal:
- Ladder sizes
- Upgrade costs
- Positive grape modifiers
- Negative grape modifiers
- The number of ladders in the round rolls randomly between the following bounds, skipping the cyclic variance of round lengths:
- [CHAOS] - 10 to 30 ladders
- [CHAOS, SHORT] - 5 to 10 ladders
- [CHAOS, LONG] - 25 to 35 ladders
- There is limited mitigation for generating the same combination of ladder modifiers for back-to-back ladders.
- Originally, the equal weights were also going to apply to the [FAUTO] and [NAUTO] modifiers, but this was deemed too evil.
- Paradoxically, [FAST, CHAOS] and [SLOW, CHAOS] round modifier sets are much less chaotic than their pure counterparts, because of how weights are applied in sequence.
- This modifier also used to ignore the scaling effect from AH points on number of ladders per round, but since this no longer occurs in season 3, this effect was removed.
