In Round 12, there were only around 4000 accounts in the game. However, there was a sudden influx of new accounts being made, bringing the total up to approximately 40,000. The robot invasion was seen as a hostile takeover of the game, and was promptly dealt with. The Mystery Guests that were created got thrown into the dark dimension, never to return again.
Lynn#6969 was part of the robot invasion. When the mystery guests were thrown into the dark dimension, Mystery Guest #6969 initiated their shapeshifting technology and assumed Lynn#2246’s identity. The true whereabouts of Lynn#2246 is unknown, but Lynn#6969 is assumed to have the consciousness of her and is treated as Lynn. Experts speculate that “Lynn” is located in Bielefeld.
One of the early grape-farming strategies developed was termed “sync gang” or “sync train”; sources differ on the exact name. Those forming the train would ask in Chad to see who was active and interested, a “conductor” would emerge from the crowd of spectators to lead the train, defining the join point in the manner of, “x4 train at 12m”, those who wanted to join the train would reply with “+”, the point requirement would be reached and the following tick all those aboard would multi, as one, and the train would make its way up to its destination, with some trains reaching a reported 30 passengers. On occasion trains have been formed on the last ladder.
@Train - Discord
Subsequent to the redesign the @train and @Train mentions were no longer available to organise trains in Chad. One of the mods, known only as “Grapes”, created a @Train role in Discord as an alternative. Uptake was limited with the creator being the single member using the role.
We all like trains. Except for a few people who got really upset that a new strategy was formed and was better than their own. They were promptly sent to the dark dimension as slaves to the 35,999 Robot Mystery Guests in a reversal of how Azimov imagined our robotic future.
When mystery guests become assholes, they receive access to the Infinite Pantry as part of the onboarding into the new Discord channel. While described as a pantry, it serves as a lounge area for assholes which includes entertainment.
The nature of the Pantry is disputed, with some considering the Pantry as being merely very large and others arguing that the Pantry is, in fact, a pocket universe attached to, and reachable by, our own through wormholes that terminate only in cupboards. The advantage here is that users are not required to navigate the entire Pantry in order to locate their chosen item, it instead appears in a cupboard according to the wishes of the user, and only upon opening the door to the cupboard does the user realise what it was they wanted in the first place. This mechanism is poorly understood and further research is required but it is suspected that quantum events are somehow involved..
Foodstuffs held inside the pantry do not deteriorate, and food, beverages, snacks, and (god forbid) fruit (particularly grapes) will all be in the cupboard at the user’s desired quantity and temperature; eg: hot foods will be the appropriate temperature for consumption, drinks will be cold, etc. If a certain foodstuff does not exist in the Pantry, it can be delivered through Amazon Ultra Prime’s Next-Second Delivery®. This delivery system is sometimes mistaken for teleportation due to its near-instantaneous delivery®.
A corner of the Pantry is dedicated to oil wrestling. There is a wrestling ring and two people covered in baby oil are wrestling in it. The identities of the wrestlers are unknown. The oil covering the wrestlers comes from the Amazon Ultra Prime’s Next-Second Delivery®.
The being(s) known at times as “Kali”, “The Exkaliburg”, is responsible for the current incarnation of The Game. The identity of “Kali” is unknown, as is whether “Kali” is one entity or several acting in concert. Very little is known of them, aside from the fact that they may hail from Germany, although they may have assumed an authentic German accent to fit in with human society.

The game has been around for so long without any major content updates, mainly receiving balance changes for grapes and ladder lengths. However, as Kali announced the new update, all previous progress would be reset and a new age of Fair Game would start. The players started calling the initial run Season 1 and the updated game starting with round 45 Season 2.
Round 45 was the first round in Season 2. At the same time, a Reddit post was shared informing everyone in r/incremental_games of the new updates. As the round continued, there was a noticeable amount of lag as hundreds of players started coming in. This caused the Endgame of Round 45 to be really slow, despite being a Tiny ladder. People who were attempting to promote reported that they had clicked the prompts multiple times, but nothing was happening. This has overflowed into Round 46 and people were unable to see the ladder, and those who were on it had to wait 30s or more for their actions to take effect.

Described as the period between the end of Round 46 and when the FairGame server proper was declared Strong and Stable, the anarchy and chaos of the Interregnum was an interesting time to be alive. Rounds were played on the testing server and were similar to previous rounds there, aside from having several zeroes added everywhere.
At time of writing, the FairGame server has not been relaunched, but we live in hope. Criticism was levelled at the chronicler of this piece even as it was being written as histories are generally not draughted before events have taken place.
Very little is known about Fair Test and its purposes. What are we testing there? What is the end goal? When will it stop? All questions should have their answers, but we lie here in the abyss, not knowing what’s to come. Numbers start to lose meaning as grape & vinegar counts reach unfathomable levels compared to Fair Game. Some speculate that this is a result of the Endless Testing Initiative held by Aperture Science Research & Development. When life gives you grapes, you make life eat that sour vinegar of yours.

As the round counts have increased, so has the community's dissatisfaction of the same old ladders every few days. Not even the chaos rounds would satiate the growing apetite. Round 300 would mark the end of an era. One Ladder, 1Qa points to promote, NOAUTO. And as time progresses the CHEAP modifier gets added. And again. And again. And again... Never has anyone seens the likes of the insane multiplier or biases everyone has been reaching for. x100 was just a taste. x200 was going to take us to the end. Just as x300 became the new norm, another CHEAP has hit the ladder. x600s roam the lands now. With the first promotion came another CHEAP, players started increasing their multiplier, reaching x2700 but to no avail. 6 players have gone. And a new era awaits.
After round 300, players were thrown into ladder 1 again, but with the END modifier on the ladder. If Reddit's Hug of Death, Fair Test or the Cheapening wasn't purgatory, this would be it.

With the rise of globalization and tensions between the US and China, access to the full spectrum of the Internet has been cut off from China. As such, there has been a rise of alternative social media platforms as Chad is unavailable in China. Within a short period of time, the Chinese players have developed WeChad, a way to communicate within China with the exact same functions as Chad. The players using Chad have caught wind of this phenomenon and are welcoming the newfound interest in the Chinese language and culture. As the East and West grow more distant, Chad is working towards a unified space, where all people can be as one.

With the Jubilee celebrations ongoing, a sudden turn of events have occurred. While most ladders have been ascending, for just one round, players are descending the ladders instead. Due to these unforseen circumstances, many are confused as to what the final ladder will be like; will the fabled L100 await us? Or will some cruel joke take it away from us? Only Chad can tell... At least one thing is for certain, everyone's getting T-shirts.
